I love music. I started off in the band in elementary school and stayed in it all through high school. I was in marching band and was drum major for three years. Since then, my music focus has wandered far. I believe the first concert I went to was some Beach Boys show about 1985. I saw the Monkees after that, and then came various other shows that somehow drift off in my head. Filter was a good show. So was 10,000 Maniacs when Michael Stipe showed up for the encore. Type O Negative was an interesting experience. Sade was probably the best show I have ever seen. Lisa Loeb at Wetlands in Manhatten was a groovy show too. The links below lead to many hours of harmonic enjoyment.
The
Ultimate Band List - With this link you can find SOMETHING on
almost EVERY band you would want. But, try some of these first:
Nine Inch Nails - Nine Inch Nails is an incredible band.
When "Head Like a Hole" came out, I was hooked.
Marilyn Manson's Hell - A truly wierd band that I just LOVE.
Kinda scary huh?
Green Day
- These guys have the raw energy and punk sound I just love. I saw them in concert though, and it wasn't that exciting. It was
pretty plastic actually.
The Twilight
Garden - The Cure. Now these guys put on a great show. I saw
them in Atlanta on their "Wish" Tour.
Pet Shop Boys Online - This
was one of the first groups that introduced me to the cool dance tunes
of the eighties, along with Erasure, Communards, New Order,
and Depeche Mode.
The
Madonna Homepage - I think Madonna is the BOMB. After so many years, she still looks great and sounds even better.
Depeche
Mode - These guys have been around for quite some time too. They have covered a wide range of sound, from bubblegum 80's pop, to goth style rock.
