MOVIES - SCOTT'S PLACE

I used to love movies. I would follow the industry news closely, go to see some films the moment they came out, endlessly renting tons of videos so I could see everything I possibly could. Then I started working at a movie theatre. At first it didn't affect my love for movies. After I became a projectionist, however, that all changed. I had to watch every single movie that came out, and we got some doozies let me tell you. When I transferred locations to a theatre across town, I didn't run the booth anymore so I didn't have to watch everything. I didn't watch anything. Oh sure, when something REALLY good came out I would go see it, but it wasn't like before.

And then, I lost my love for working at a theatre. I worked for theatres for about 4 years, and I have only had to call the police ONCE because of unruly customers. It was during a sunday afternoon showing of Pocahontas. Yes, the Disney cartoon. This bitch decides that she has to have popcorn and soda or she cannot watch the movie. She also decides that she doesn't have to wait in line anymore and walks behind the concession stand (through 2 closed doors) and begins helping herself. I was in charge at the time and immediately told another employee to call the police. After everything was over, the district manager comes to the theatre a week later to talk to some of the employees about the incident. It turns out that I was wrong in calling the police on the shoplifter and that the company would probably be sued over it. PEOPLE ARE SUCH IDIOTS. I walked out and never looked back.

The Internet Movie Database - This is THE definitive source for movie information on the web. You can search by title, actor, actress, crew, or a number of other parameters. If you like movies, this site can tell you what you are wanting to know. EXCELLENT for viewing a certain persons film career.

Star Wars Home Page - Star Wars came out when I was 5 years old. It was my Ninja Turtle. It was my Power Ranger. My brother and I had tons of the toys too. We would play Star Wars for hours, and usually ended up in a heated wrestling match because I would try to kill one of his characters or something. These movies are the greatest.

A Quentin Tarantino Page - What a genius. The first movie of his that I saw was True Romance. I LOVED it. I was so disappointed that it didn't do better than it did. Pulp Fiction is great. Reservoir Dogs is great. Natural Born Killers is awesome. HOWEVER, Quentin should stay out of acting. It detracts from his other talents, his writing being his greatest I think.
